Located on Monterey Avenue, SJVC Rancho Mirage offers Electrical Technology and Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) programs that prepare students with practical, career-ready skills in as few as 10 months. Electrical Technology
SJVC’s Electrical Technology program prepares you to work with electrical equipment and systems safely, competently, and professionally. It gives you the techniques and best practices you need to succeed in the field. Students can complete the SJVC Electrical Technology program in as few as 10 months.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R)
HVAC-R technicians install, maintain, and repair the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems that keep homes and businesses comfortable year-round.
SJVC’s HVAC-R program prepares students for entry-level employment and covers heating and cooling principles, electrical theory, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and proper installation, service, and replacement techniques. Earn your Certificate of Completion in as few as 10 months. Graduates have the opportunity to earn EPA 608 certification.
SJVC prepares students to take appropriate certification and licensure exams related to their majors. The College does not guarantee students will successfully pass these exams or be certified or licensed as a result of completing the program.
