SJVC Victor Valley is on Mariposa Road, just south of the I-15 and Main Street intersection in Hesperia, CA, where logistics, warehousing, construction, infrastructure, energy, facilities maintenance, and climate-control systems are major employers. SJVC serves Hesperia and other communities in the Victor Valley, including Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto, Phelan, Oak Hills, and Barstow.

Electrical Technology

Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems in homes, businesses, factories, and construction sites. (2)

The SJVC Electrical Technology program teaches students to work with and repair electrical equipment and systems safely, competently, and professionally. Students learn effective techniques and best practices in hands-on classes and simulation labs, and can earn their Certificate of Completion in as few as 10 months.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R)

Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) technicians install, maintain, and repair temperature-control equipment in modern homes and commercial businesses (3).

SJVC’s HVAC-R program prepares students for entry-level employment through career training in:

  • Heating and cooling principles
  • Electrical theories
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems
  • Proper installation, servicing, and replacement techniques

Enroll in our HVAC classes now and earn a Certificate of Completion in as few as 10 months. Graduates have the opportunity to earn EPA 608 certification.*

SJVC Victor Valley offers Electrical Technology and HVAC-R Certificate of Completion programs that can be completed in as few as 10 months. Students train with industry-standard equipment in environments that emphasize practical knowledge, troubleshooting, installation methods, maintenance procedures, and safety standards. Throughout their programs, students can work with our Career & Student Services department, which offers resume-building and interview-preparation assistance, extern-to-hire opportunities, and access to career fairs.
