Located in the heart of Northern California, SJVC’s Sacramento campus has been serving students and local employers since 2025. This modern, career-focused campus offers Electrical Technology and Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) training in Sacramento, with programs designed to help students prepare for opportunities across the state. (1)

Students can explore SJVC’s Trade and Industrial programs and earn an Electrical Technology Certificate or associate degree while gaining hands-on experience and practicing skills used in the field. (2) Students training in HVAC-R can earn a Certificate of Completion in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration, with coursework focused on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of climate control systems. (3) Those interested in construction management in the Sacramento area can pursue an online Associate of Science Degree. (4)

SJVC provides career-focused training for students exploring trade schools or comparing career colleges in Sacramento.

Electrical Technology

For those exploring electrical trade schools in Sacramento, consider training at SJVC. Students can learn in a career-focused environment with access to lab spaces, tools, and equipment designed to support hands-on practice in residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

Located in a region with ongoing residential and commercial development, the Sacramento campus provides a setting where students can become familiar with real-world electrical systems and techniques used in the field. Experienced instructors bring industry knowledge into the classroom, helping guide students through practical training.

Earn a Certificate of Completion in as few as 10 months or an Associate of Science in Electrical Technology in as few as 14 months, and take a step toward pursuing opportunities in the electrical field. (2) Graduates also have the opportunity to earn the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach Training Completion Card. (5) Electricians commonly install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. (6)

Prepare for an HVAC-R career at SJVC’s Sacramento campus, where students can develop hands-on skills in a region that experiences a wide range of seasonal temperatures. The program emphasizes practical training in lab environments, helping students build experience with systems used in residential and commercial settings. (4)

Earn a Certificate of Completion in as few as 10 months and take a step toward pursuing opportunities in the HVAC-R field. (4) HVAC-R technicians typically install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. (7)
